Building Trust in a Controversial Product Category
Tattoo numbing cream is heavily looked down upon by many people within the tattoo industry and by consumers themselves. The challenge was creating a visual system that still felt authentic to tattoo culture while presenting the product as trustworthy, premium, and professionally branded.
Packaging System Design
The packaging system was designed to feel bold and visually aligned with tattoo culture while maintaining a cleaner, more premium presentation than typical numbing products within the market.
Alternative Culture Brand Extension
Branded merchandise and supporting visuals extended the product identity beyond packaging, helping reinforce a cohesive and culturally recognizable visual system.
Digital Product Experience
The digital experience focused on presenting the product clearly and consistently across desktop and mobile storefront layouts while supporting the overall brand aesthetic.
Campaign & Promotional Assets
Social media graphics and promotional assets were designed to maintain visual consistency across product marketing, advertising, and digital campaign materials.
Visual System
The visual system was designed to create consistency across packaging, merchandise, digital storefronts, and promotional assets while maintaining a darker aesthetic aligned with tattoo and alternative culture.
Color System
The color system supports strong contrast and product recognition across physical and digital applications.
Typography
Typography supports clear hierarchy and consistent reading across packaging and supporting materials.
The digital storefront was designed to maintain consistency between the product packaging, branding, and online shopping experience across desktop and mobile layouts.

Results
The final system created a cohesive visual identity across packaging, merchandise, digital storefronts, and promotional materials while maintaining a recognizable aesthetic aligned with tattoo and alternative culture.
